Naima Bigby Sullivan, RD is a New York City based culinary nutritionist dedicated to promoting nutrition and wellness through cooking. Inspired by her budding veggie garden and home cooks everywhere, she takes a relaxed, back-to-the basics approach, focusing on whole foods prepared simply to take advantage their natural flavors and nutritional benefits. A former professional dancer, Naima began studying nutrition in an attempt to balance her love of food with the rigors and demands of dancing.

Forever in search of the perfect meal, Naima began cooking for family and friends and slowly learned how to satisfy even the biggest appetites without sacrificing good health. For Naima, eating healthfully is not about giving things up, but rather shifting the balance ever so slightly to make room for what you are truly hungry for. What you want and what you need may be two different things, but with a little creativity you can have both.

Naima works as a Nutritionist and Food Service Manager at a private eating disorder treatment center in Manhattan and enjoys contributing her cooking and nutrition services to the community at Integral Yoga Institute New York City where she works as a cook on Saturdays.
